In honor of Maddox turning 2 months old tomorrow- here's his video montage from him being born. I had debated about posting it or not, but all the pictures are very modest- because i'm extremely modest! I have to give a shout out to my BFF Sara for taking some great photos (and Gavin too!)
make sure to have your sound on :-)

Easter at Papa's!
Only a week late!! but in my defense along with the normal weekly work, we moved offices over the weekend- so when I wasn't working, i was packing...or doing the mommy thing...or cleaning house. what a week last week was! thank goodness it's done. all the major stuff is moved to our new office, now we just have to settle in! Can I have a day off yet??
Here is our pictures from our Easter Celebration at Papa's house!

My baby girl! okay, she's not my baby girl, but close enough- I won't have one, so Rilee is my substitute :-) Who needs a 3rd kid when you have this adorable little girl for a niece?
Hunting for eggs.....someone missed one!
Posing for pictures
Can you just tell what they're saying? CHEEESE!

Maddox's many faces
Yes I know we need a new header. hopefully I'll have a picture soon enough to replace it. But I'm picky, so it can't be just any picture. :-D
BUT, I DO have new pictures of the little man! can you believe it?!?!
Sweet baby boy was just OUT. like a light. he can sleep thru anything like his daddy. i sure wish i had that ability. must be a super power! This baby likes to sleep. eat and sleep. maybe he got those qualities from me.
Just HAD to do this....
Mason's 1 month old photo..the famous Mother Teresa picture- back story- we have this one infant bath towel from the Dollar store. G snapped a picture of Mason and i thought- Mother Teresa! One of my favorite pictures of Mason....
Maddox might have trumped Mason's version. LOVE it.
You should be happy to hear that I have picked up my camera again after a 7 month hiatus. I had a craving to start photographing again. Not sure WHY I didn't even pick up my camera in that time. I think it has something to do with the fact that i HATE my iphoto on my computer. could be related to the fact that I have TOO many pictures on my computer. ANYWAY, i decided I needed to start taking pictures of my work again (flowers) so I took my camera this last weekend to one of my weddings and of course surprised myself how good I was. both design work AND photography. haha Even Gavin told me he thinks I am a good photographer and have an eye for it especially with natural light. I even played around with my camera on Easter (i KNOW, can you believe it? those coming soon) and had to fight off Gavin from taking my camera. Anyway, tonight we managed to go snap some shots in the bluebonnets of the boys. Maddox was not impressed. Mason was. (more of those coming later) BUT, I got a good one of Maddox. I'm so proud. This one taken by yours truly. Normally i don't gloat so much because Gavin never ceases to amaze me with his beautiful photographs, he really has an eye for it and a true talent.
Can you believe just HOW much he looks like Gavin?????

Ketchup
I was going to name this my catch up post along with some random ramblings, but 'catch up' made me think of Mason the other night and how he ate 2 whole hot dogs at dinner just so he could eat more ketchup. And just for that random fact, I named it ketchup. Mason is definitely his father's son. except he looks like me. Mason will eat ketchup plain. gak. who else does that? Gavin. Gavin is known to eat his ketchup with a side of fries.
We've been SO busy, and such little time for pictures...but don't worry, they ARE coming. TONIGHT. PROMISE. What the hay have we been doing? Trying to get some sleep, keeping up with a 2 year old, making time for the wave of new clients, the wedding season has started for us both, MOVING both our businesses into a new location (which means painting, prepping, shopping for furniture, cleaning, organizing and MOVING all my stuff), tax season, home projects and oh yeah....we have a newborn too! haha Needless to say, I think I have a good excuse to always feel tired! If i could only bottle up the energy of a 2 year old and market it...I'd make millions.
So on to our little man, Maddox had his 1 month check up almost 2 weeks ago- in that first month's time he's grown 3" and 3.5 lbs! He was born at 7 lbs 3 oz and 19.5" long- 1 month old he was 10 lbs 10 oz and 22.5" long. To me I can't believe he grew that much in 4 weeks- no wonder he sleeps so much! Sleeping: he's doing great- he's had his nights and days figured out unlike Mason who was way out of whack for his first 2 months i think! He generally has an awake period in the mornings and another long stretch late afternoons/early evenings. Gavin and i take shifts at night basically- G stays up later, til 2 am to feed Maddox and get some work done, after that its my turn which is usually a 5 am feeding. Maddox only wakes up to eat and maybe poop. SO the routine is not that bad, unless you're like me and not go to bed until midnight at LEAST. ugh, gotta start getting to bed earlier! We've been managing though, it does seem easier the 2nd time around, but it is harder with having a 2 year old that keeps us on our toes!
As far as Mason- we've had a few challenges lately (been expecting a few things with the adjustment so he's doing just fine), but he's also at such a fun age too. WHAT a chatterbox we have! I cannot believe how much he talks up a storm now.
Something funny that happened last week- I was emptying the dishwasher and set a wine glass on the counter and Mason yells, "Mimi's CUP!!!!!" haha i could help but laugh that my 2 year old just tagged my sister Amy as a wine-o!
Everything gets 'boken' with an uh-oh and then within seconds its "Mommy, I BIX IT!" (fix it)
a few weekends ago, i took both boys with me to wash my truck and run to the market. At first i wasn't sure if Mason was afraid of the drive thru carwash, but after getting home and hearing the word carwash at least 60 times in 30 minutes tells me he wasn't the least bit traumatized. just adding to his fascination i guess. Everyday I ask him "Where are we going today?" His usual guesses are: School, Church, Jackson's house, Papa's house or Carwash. Apparently we should only go the places he wants. Unless we're out of juice then he is telling me, "Go buy some!"
Oh yes speaking of which, when a 2 year old says, "Farmer's Market" it really sounds like a bad word we don't use in our house! haha
At least 100 times a day we hear, "Outside?" even if its raining, Mason wants to be outside. He's been extremely into shovels and digging in the dirt (oh fun, mom loves dirt and dirty boys. and dirty smelling boys.) Bathtime has recently become Mason & Daddy time.
Late last week poor Uncle Josh got rear ended in his Tahoe and had some bad whiplash. After shopping for easter groceries for our easter get togethers I stopped by my dad's house to store it in his extra fridge. Mason was so insistent on seeing Josh, so he came down stairs for a few to visit with Mason before heading back upstairs. When Josh left, Mason asked, "Josh? See Josh?"
I said, "No. Josh went to lay down."
Mason replied, "Josh lay down?"
I said, "Yes Josh went to lay down. He doesnt feel good."
Mason said (very matter of factly) "Josh need go poop." ( i totally laughed at this...not sure where he got it, but apparently if you don't feel good, you need to poop.)
What a funny little man! I cant wait to hear the conversations between Mason & Maddox one day :-)

Happy Birthday Pop pop!
Last week we celebrated Pop Pop turning 82 years young! Both the Uncles came in town for some celebrations, so we had some fun getting together. Knowing we'd want to socialize and having a 2 year old while eating out, that doesn't always happen- so I invited everyone over to grill at our house where Mason would be easily entertained (and kept in captivity) where we could hang out.
So of course family pictures were requested- all 4 generations- Grandpa with his 2 sons, Bill and Ted (to this day after being with Gavin for 10 years i still think of the 1988 movie "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure!) haha! okay back on track... his 2 Grandson's- Gavin and Christopher and his 2 great grandsons- Mason & Maddox.
The Excited Bunch L to R: Christopher, Gavin & Mason, Uncle Ted, Pops with Maddox & Uncle Bill
The Whole family looking a little more excited. I blame the steak and potatoes we just ate. food coma makes sleepy people. I REALLY need to put a picture on that back wall, man does it make a boring wall.
Granma Dee Dee with her 2 Grandbabies
Nana with her new great grandson. She loves babies. I love granmas who love babies. It makes for Mommy time. :-D
Note the Guardian of the Baby in the background. I can tell Sabai really likes Maddox better than Mason. Shoot, he doesn't do anything, he rarely even cries. Whereas Mason is known to chase the poor cat with his shovel. Again, poor cat. we're working on the shovel chasing thing.
WOW what is wrong with me? oh wait, sleep deprivation doesn't make for a good train of thought! HAHA
