"No more pictures Mom!"

Actually Gavin might have taken this. Mason now knows him as the man who feeds him in the middle of the night and is usually stuck changing his 1 dirty diaper (hee he hee Mom is Smart!), but tends to have a very bright light that always goes off when he's around! (the camera flash!)

We did lots of sittin' around & napping during the bad weather...I think even Mason was bored!

6 weeks!

Mason is 6 weeks old today! It's gone by fast! Then again, I feel like we've been in hibernation! (probably doesnt help its been SO COLD & crummy weather here so I havent taken Mason out much lately!) He's doing good though, asleep in his pack n' play right now (makeshift bassinette in our room) he's slowly figuring out his days & nights, I know before long it'll just 'click'! He has that wonderful "Baby Acne" right now, it doesnt look too irritated, his skin on his face is just a little rough, so hopefully it'll go away soon & his soft baby skin will be back! in the past week or 2 he's started 'Goo-ing' not coo-ing, he says "Geeeew" and that's it. I have a feeling he won't be much for words like his Daddy! Maybe he won't be much of a complainer either, because he rarely cries!

The Countdown for Rilee!

2 MORE weeks until Amy's due Date is here! She's due January 29th & it's FAST approaching! I am SOOOO excited to be able to greet Miss Rilee & for Mason to meet her! I can't wait til I get to post her beautiful pictures! :-)

One Month Check up!

Mason turned 1 month old on Monday- so we had our Dr check up today- he's now 10 lbs 12 oz & 23 inches long! Dr said he looks and sounds very healthy (besides picking up the congestion that I had last week) Dr. Ohmen said he's actually leaned out a bit. His advice was to keep lovin' him & feedin' him!

A Much BETTER Dream!

So these wacky mommy dreams have obviously been bothering me. Well last night was different. My dream started off what seemed like a panicky one. I dreamt we were at someone's house (not sure who's it was supposed to be) but there was alot of our family and friends around. I was inside and I started to panic because i couldn't find Mason & no one had seen him all day, so I really started to worry. I looked outside and I see water- I think, oh no, he's in the lake/pond! SO i start to run outside and something catches my eye, I look to the side, and there's my Mom sitting in a chair rocking Mason!
So I think this was my Mom's way of telling me not to worry, she's watching out for him & she's his Guardian Angel! So maybe these scary dreams will stop now! :-)

And the Mommy Nightmares BEGIN!

I know, I might as well get used to them. I'll have them for the REST of my life, right? GREAT... this must be one of the NOT-so-wonderful joys of Mommyhood!
There's nothing like waking up in a panic to check on your child!
The past 2 nights I've had horrible nightmares about Mason. 2 nights ago I dreamt someone dropped him (over a concrete floor!) and of course I woke up in a panic. Yesterday morning after his morning bottle, Mason & I both fell asleep in the lazy boy chair & I dreamt that he & I were going to Florida for some odd reason & we were traveling with some of my close girlfriends, we were in the airport (must've been florida) & that was the last time I'd seen him. I remember panicking in my dream & waking up in a panic as well. Thankfully he was snug asleep in my arms. As soon as i opened my eyes to see him safe & sound-he must've been having a good dream because he's was grinning ear to ear- and that just made everything BETTER! (oh the smiles just make me melt!)
