Bedtime Smedtime!
forget this whole bedtime routine! SERIOUSLY! everynight we do a book, bottle, bedtime. (everyother night is bathtime) today he napped til about 5pm, so he got a bottle at 5 pm (usually its earlier than that so he'll take a bedtime bottle) Mason acted tired at 7 pm (usually we start bedtime routine 6:30-7ish), so i put him down, he slept an hour. then was up and acted hungry again, so we did bedtime routine all over again, but he wanted to play and talk to me while i was rocking him, and when he starts his giggling and coo-ing, mom just CANNOT resist! SO i gave in and we chatted for a while and rocked...9:30 rolls around and he's STILL awake...So i say forget it, lets just see what happens and i put him in his bed....he jabbers away for about 20 minutes, actually he talked away to the green light on the monitor base in the corner of his bed, apparently he found it very interesting and funny, then he sucks on his hand for another 15 minutes, and then he puts HIMSELF to sleep....OhMyGod, hello! not sure if this was a fluke or what....guess i'll try it tomorrow night and see! god i would LOVE to just be able to put him down and that's it! (wishful thinking probably!)

That's so great that he put himself to sleep! If for some reason it was a fluke (hope not!) there's ways you can teach your child to sleep through the night that are 100% worth it. Kaden has been the best sleeper since he was little because I went through those few nights of torture when he was about 4 months old or so. So anyways, if you want to know how I did it...it's called the Ferber Method aka Ferberizing. You can look it up online and it totally works if you can be tough through all the crying. GOOD LUCK! Hope he's just the worlds best baby and you don't have to go through that! He's so cute. :)
