Sara cracks me up- she's guessing of when I will go into full labor and have this little one! I've progressed SO much faster this time around than with Mason. So it could be anyday now OR he could wait until his eviction notice on Thursday 2/26!
So take your guess- date, time, height and weight!
Sara is guessing on Sunday. Anytime AFTER tomorrow is good as I'm meeting with 3 clients tomorrow, but I've also got a Birthday dinner with my family planned on Sunday evening at Brio's and I REALLY want to make that dinner :)

Baby M update :-)
Only 1 more update or so before he's here!
I had my 37 week check up today and baby Maddox is weighing in at 6 lbs 14 oz right now and looking good! I've gained a total of 28 lbs so far (yikes!!) SO thankfully I've got only 8 days left until an end in sight- and I don't think it's possible to gain 2 lbs in 8 days (my goal is to not pass 30 lbs!)! I've eaten crap the past 2 weeks and have been so tired and did gain 2 lbs, but Maddox gained over 1.25 lbs so that's not bad really! Anyway, My OB set an induction date of 2/26 (unless he comes sooner!) I'll be 39 weeks along then. When I went in to see her 2 weeks ago, I had not progressed at all, he hadn't even dropped yet. I knew for a fact that he dropped in the past 2 days just from some recent NEW pains I've been feeling, almost like shooting pains in my hip joints, so he's got to have moved onto a nerve or something. So not only had he dropped, but she told me that I was dialated about 2.5-3 cm- so #2 DOES progress A LOT faster than your first! She was happy with his weight gain and my progression, so she went a head and set my induction date. She did this because she doesnt want him getting any bigger than Mason (who was 8 lbs 2 oz- nice healthy size if you ask me!) and she doesn't think I would last much past next thursday if at all anyway.
I've got a busy week ahead of me- LOTS of plans so I'd rather him not make an appearance until after Sunday!
Tomorrow is our one day at home- lots of laundry to do, need to wash the infant carrier cover, the swing cover & bouncy seat cover since they've been up in the attic for the past few months, along with just finishing up some random things here, FINALLY do my weekly grocery shopping...
Thursday- the 1 day of the year that I do NOT look forward to. Need to do something to honor my mom in the morning, but not quite sure what to do yet. Kristin is taking me to lunch for an early birthday lunch and Sara and Mr Hendrix are coming out after school to help me get some last minute things together and prepare some Mason meals to freeze for him.
Friday- my 28th Birthday! woohoo! While Mason is at preschool I'm going to breakfast with the gals from our bible study, which I am looking forward to. Spending time with them is a treat :) Spending time with 2 of my favorite boys for the rest of the day is my plan before Sara comes back out to take me to a movie! YEAH!
Saturday is my last day to meet with clients for the next 3 weeks to a month. Crazy yes, however we're heading into the wedding season and with the economy and growing family we can't exactly be turning down business!
Sunday- I'm looking forward to our last sunday of our normal routine (sundays are my favorite days) looking forward to getting to church on time for the last time in a while I'm sure and then a birthday dinner with my family....AND meeting my baby brother's girlfriend for the first time! I'm excited!!!! :-)
somewhere in there Gavin is expecting me to pack my 'oh crap' bag/Hospital bag. not so easy when my list is things I use on a DAILY basis! I'm looking forward to one last chaotic week of my ideal kind of chaos- the fun kind of chaos! ha!

Pointless Purse Post
Update: I'm still alive and haven't been hacked up by a chainsaw or rusty farm equipment north of Denton. in fact the craigslist people haven't emailed me back! I'm SO disappointed.
But I've got something to keep your eyes busy for a minute or 2. Thanks Amanda for the pointless Purse Post. ;-)
here's how it goes:
1. Post a picture of whatever bag you are carrying as of late. No, you cannot go up to your closet and pull out that cute little purse you used back before you had kids. I want to know what you carried today.
2. Post a picture of the contents inside your bag. The theory here is that you can learn a lot about someone from what is in the bag...oh and you can steal mommy secrets!
3. I want to know how much it costs. And this is not to judge, this is for entertainment purposes only. So spill it. And if there is a story to go along with how you obtained it, I’d love to hear it.
4. Tag some chicks. And link back to this post so people know why the heck you’re showing everyone your diaper bag/non-diaper bag.
Here ya go:
Contents of my HandBag: (thanks Dad for the proper term.) or maybe it really is a purse, maybe a purse is a handbag under $30, and a 'handbag' is anything that costs more? kinda like a a vase vs. vaaaaaaase? haha I'm cheap, so it's a purse!
Purse: Emilie M brand I picked up from Marshalls about 2 weeks ago- I hadn't bought a new purse since I went to hong kong in November 2007!! I picked up this purse for a whopping $14.99 :)
-My Coochie Goochie wallet (from hong kong) it's supposed to be a "coach" knock off, but looks more like G's than C's so I call it the coochie goochie wallet.
-My mom's pocket bible still in my purse from bible study last night
-My chunky Red necklace I spent $28 on. I NEVER spend that much on a necklace, but I love this one.
-2 HALF full/empty water bottles. WHY i have 2, not quite sure.
-My clinique compact & Estee Lauder lipstick (best stuff ever!)
-2 pens & a pencil (it drives me crazy to NOT have a writing utensil with me) so i generally have more than 1 just in case
-hand lotion that amy swiped from the hotel cart at the W in NYC last week (it smells yummy!)
-Appt card for my OB appt next tuesday (if i make it there!)
-Sonogram pictures of our baby boy from today. Tracy the sono tech decided he was going to print off quite a few pictures of Maddox's pee pee to show Gavin that it HAS NOT fallen off. ;) Silly Boys... we got a good one of his face too.
-A picture Corlia gave me last night of some of our bible study girls & I at the B&W Women's Dinner back in December

Good idea or Bad?
So i found this listing on Craigslist- I immediately emailed it to my friend Jes.
we have a 100 yr old homestead house and a few barn buildings filled with various antiques and crafts. from old farm equipment and tools to various home and kitchen items, we have at least a few of just about anything that you might ever want for yourself. we got old mason jars and antique crocks to lots of glass-wares, bake wares, and all kinds of old furnishings. if you know what you're looking for -- then let us know, and we can tell you what we have. or if you dont know exactly what you are looking for -- then contact us, and we can schedule a time for you come by and take a look for yourself. we even have some old cars and trucks that havent been on the road in a while, but they would be perfect for someone with either the money or the know-how to restore them.
For Jes, it'd be like a kid in a candy shop! For me, I really just want to go along to see what they have to offer and also for a photo op! We love garage sale-ing out in Wise County where they live, the trade days up in Bowie and places like Canton. As soon as I told Gavin what was going on and read him the listing- he got excited over the idea of cars & trucks (possible antiques) and decided he's coming too. Which makes me feel a lot better because it kind of makes me wonder if the situation to lure people in is kind of 'texas chainsaw massacre-ish'! Jes said not to worry, she has pepperspray. I'm not quite sure what pepperspray would do to a chainsaw, but she has good intentions I guess! I might just have to carry a butterknife in my pocket for extra protection ;-) SO if you haven't heard from me by the end of the week- someone please send a search party somewhere north of Denton!

OH the smells....
I officially have a complaint!
I've had a rather HEIGHTENED sense of smell this pregnancy. Apparently I can smell things only the dog can smell in our house. Lately, I can't handle perfumes. Today I put on 1 tiny spritz of my perfume on my wrist and it's almost too strong for me. (Clinique Happy to Be isn't an overpowering smell either- it's light and fresh!)
I think I am going to have to resort to not hugging friends or family sadly. 3 times now in the past week I've given different friends a hug before leaving- and all 3 times now, their perfume smells have lingered on me so long (guess on my shirt or whatever) that it'll give me a headache until I change my clothes. it gets so bad, it makes me nauseated. Not that my friends perfumes smell bad....its just an overpowering smell to me. pew!!

Still here :-)
I've still got some time left- hopefully at least a week or 2! As of last week's dr appt- she said I wasn't dialated yet. The way I've been feeling the past 2 days, if I go in next week with no dialation- I would be shocked! So far this pregnancy has been able to keep up with me and Mason, but I've been second guessing that these past 2 days. I had such bad lower back pain today, I was almost in tears, and some really really sharp pains that will run from my lower abdomen area to the tops of my thighs (OUCH!) all mixed with the Braxton Hicks Ctx. Actually, it wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have this really annoying lower back pain.
This week is the last week I'm meeting with clients for a few weeks- so after next tuesday, he can make an appearance if he chooses to. I just need a few days after Saturday to wash some baby clothes, freeze some meals for Mason and get a hospital bag together. So that's my only update for now :-)

The Big Boy Bed
So Mason has been in his big boy bed about 10 days now- the transition was easier that I thought. He's good about staying in his bed now. The first couple of nights were kinda rough- but more than anything he had to get used to his whole new room. We kept giving him the option of the 'baby bed' or the 'big boy bed' and he would constantly choose his big boy bed. He really likes it, which is exactly what I wanted! Once he got adjusted to the new room, he started sleeping better. In the past week now, he's only woken up twice in the night and those were both over the weekend, so I would say that's pretty good! We think that one of the causes with that is from the new room has a huge window which can make the room A LOT colder- so we put up insulation blinds AND heavier drapes as well, also we've moved his bed further down the wall (which now blocks off one of the closet doors- but we can use the other door which is fine) which i think has helped some too.
He likes being a 'big boy' and enjoys the privileges that come along with it. My baby is definitely becoming a big boy!

Geography Whiz in Training
I'm a Geography Whiz to say the least. It comes easy to me and most of the time it doesn't make sense to me when someone doesn't know where a city/state/country is. (ahem, Jes....no Hanoi is not in Norway!!) I think maybe Mason has inherited that gene...or he's just super smart :-)
We have a big map board above his changing table that the map is made out of license plates for the different states. With only 2 diaper changes late today Mason now knows the state of California, Texas, Ohio and Florida :-) Smarty pants!

Baby Update!
Went to my baby doctor today- Mr. Maddox is looking good! He's measuring at 5.5 lbs right now (I'll be 36 weeks later this week) no dialation yet (which is fine with me!) but he's measuring right where he should be and is looking really good. I go back on February 17th to see how we're progressing! The great news is that I haven't gained any weight in 2 weeks (but he has clearly). I gained 24 lbs with Mason and I'm desperately trying to keep my weight close to that and still stay healthy- so far I've gained 26 lbs with Maddox, so I'm doing a good job apparently! :-D
